Hickel CPA is an accounting and tax practice established in 1984, focusing on individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. Our Mission
Our mission has always been to provide the exact level of accounting service that each specific client needs. Whether a weekly, monthly or quarterly assessment of financial position is desired, or simply an annual review and preparation of a tax return, our clients know they can count on us. We understand that every business and individual has a unique need regarding the accounting services they desire. We can help determine what that need is, and ensure that the services required are performed above expectations.

Ryan Hickel, CPA
CEO
Ryan, a former restuarateur, is owner and second generation licensed CPA, providing superior client experience comes second nature and a love of technology and drive for efficiency is a perfect combination for individuals and small businesses.
Ryan resides in Manteno with his wife, daughter and many pets. He enjoys tinkering on home improvement projects, golfing, and snowboarding.
Emily Tracy, EA
Enrolled Agent
Emily has extensive real estate, paralegal, and tax preparation background. Emily joined Hickel CPA in 2022. She has a drive for productivity and improving the client experience. She has been an intricate piece of the Firm's process improvements and is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.
Emily lives in Shorewood with her husband and enjoys trying to beat the estimated arrival time when using navigation apps in the car.
Katie Kresse
Enrolled Agent
Katie has a strong customer service background and is a licensed Enrolled Agent. Katie, prepares individual income tax returns, calculates projections and handles much of the client communication through our Portal. She has extensive experience processing payroll and filing sales tax returns and is actively expanding her knowledge of tax preparation and bookkeeping.
Katie resides in Chicago and is loving city-life. She enjoys the city and spending time with friends
