NEWS FLASH: IRS Opening Day is January 26, 2026

The IRS will officially open the 2026 filing season on Monday, 1/26/2026, meaning some taxpayers can begin submitting 2025 federal tax returns and start the refund process as soon as that date!  However, Small business owners and complex tax returns are a different story.
